The neurosurgery team at Children&#39;s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota is committed to the constant pursuit of better care for these children through adoption of the latest techniques, training and technology including:&nbsp;&nbsp; 3 Tesla MRI system, Intro-operative MRI, Interventional neuroradiology, advanced brain mapping for patients with epilepsy and brain tumors, and minimally invasive neurosurgery techniques.</p> <p>Children&#39;s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota&nbsp;are currently looking to add a&nbsp;PA&nbsp;to their talented Neurosurgery team, which presently is comprised of 3 Neurosurgeons, 4 PNP&rsquo;s and&nbsp;2 PA&rsquo;s.</p> <p>The responsibilities for this position would include first assistant in surgery, assistance with neurosurgical procedures, conducting inpatient rounds and seeing patients in the clinic when needed. This position may require some evening and weekend work. Participation in call will be an expectation.</p> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p>Experience working as a PA in a neurosurgery or surgery preferred. The University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital Pediatric Heart Center -Pediatric Cardiothoracic-PA-C The University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital Pediatric Heart Center -Pediatric Cardiothoracic-PA-C <p><strong>The University of Minnesota Masonic Children&rsquo;s Hospital Pediatric Heart</strong> <strong>Center</strong> provides expert providers who are leading the way in providing compassionate comprehensive care for pediatric cardiac patients. &nbsp;The Pediatric Heart Center seeks a Physician Assistant who will collaborate with Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeons and Pediatric Cardiologists to coordinate and facilitate the delivery of care to patients and families within a multidisciplinary framework.&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>In this role, the Advanced Practice Provider will practice mainly in an inpatient clinical practice setting, providing first assistance to the Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeons and Pediatric Interventional Cardiologists during surgeries and cardiac catheterizations.</li> <li>Other responsibilities include admits and discharges, rounding, and pre-procedure history and physicals.</li> <li>Staff at the Pediatric Heart Center at University of Minnesota Masonic Children&rsquo;s Hospital, is comprised of 12 Pediatric Cardiologists, One Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgeon, and nine Advanced Practice Providers.</li> <li>The hospital has a dedicated 12 bed Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, Hybrid Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Electrophysiology Laboratory, and Cardiac Operating Room.</li> <li>Collaborate with the Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.</li> <li>Call is required for this position.</li> <li>We offer a comprehensive benefits package to also include generous time off, annual CME allowance, malpractice insurance, a retirement plan, and much more.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong>&nbsp; Candidates with experience in surgery, cardiac catheterization, or pediatric critical care are strongly preferred.
